Apple says users can expect to eke out approximately a day of battery life based on "normal" use. Power users who expect to pull down tons of notifications and other bite-sized data will need to either carry around magnetic chargers or invest in something like the Wipowerband.
The Wipowerband has a built-in battery that clips onto the underside of the Apple Watch. The 250-milliampere-hour (mAh) battery can "nearly double the battery of the Apple Watch," according to the product's website.
The battery band, which we expect to see tons of these pop up soon, is made from high density polymer and soft silicone, and comes in five colors: blue, white and black for the 42mm model, and orange, white and pink for the 38mm model. It looks extremely uncomfortable to wear.
Wipowerband expects to ship the bands between May and June. The 42mm bands cost $99; 38mm bands cost $89. If you don't mind bulking up the Apple Watch's sleek jewelry-like designin exchange for more battery life, you can preorder the battery bands from Wipowerband's website.
