Pune is emerging as a prominent location for IT with more
than 70,000 IT employees . In addition to existing software companies
like Infosys, Wipro, Satyam, TCS, Cognizant and IBM Global, others are planning
to set up operations in Pune, including software giant Microsoft, which intends
to set up a Rs 700-crore mega software development centre in
Hinjewadi.
This will be the single biggest IT investment coming into the
city so far.
Proposed Microsoft office will be located in Hinjewadi Phase
3.
