Boomerang! Where have you been all my life?

This will add some more fun in you Gmail. Boomerang for Gmail lets you take control of when you send and receive email messages.

1. Send An Email Later

Boomerang's popular “Send Later” feature makes it easy for you to schedule an email to be sent at any time you choose. You can draft your email now, then schedule it to be sent automatically at the perfect time. Just write the message as you normally would, then click the Send Later button.

(Once you install the Boomerang plugin, the "Send Later" button will appear right in your compose window. Now compatible with Gmail new compose!)

Use our handy calendar picker or our text box that understands language like "next Monday" to tell Boomerang when to send your message. We'll take it from there.

2. The best email reminders

Use Boomerang to take messages out of your inbox until you actually need them. At the time you chose, we'll bring it back to your inbox, marked unread, starred, or even at the top of your message list.

While this function is certainly useful to remind ourselves about stuff that is weeks or months away, sometimes when those messages bounce back, we realize that we had no idea why we wanted them in the first place. You can now attach a note to the message as you schedule it with Boomerang. When the message returns to your inbox at the time you specify, your note will be appended to the email thread.

3. Always follow up on emails after no response

One of Boomerang’s most powerful features is tracking responses. When writing an email, you can set Boomerang to give you a reminder if you don’t get a reply after a certain amount of days. If the message comes back to your inbox without a response, you can then react by sending another email to follow up.

You can now schedule your follow-up message as you're writing the original email. If the person replies to your original email, Boomerang will detect the response, and will not send the second email. If they don’t reply, Boomerang will send the follow-up message automatically. You’ll never have to let another important email fall through the cracks.
