Last week, Lenovo had launched its budget smartphone A7000 at a price of Rs 8,999. The device was up for grabs in its first flash sale on Flipkart today. According to Lenovo, the company sold 30,000 units in mere 4 seconds.
The company also announced a special ‘live flash sale’ at Flipkart’s Bangalore office today, where Lenovo invited the media to see how fast these devices actually go out of stock during the online flash sale. The next sale for the Lenovo A7000 will be held on April 22. The registrations for the next sale will begin today at 6PM.
As far as specifications are concerned, the A7000 flaunts a 5.5-inch HD (1280×720 pixels) IPS display with a pixel density of 267ppi. Under the hood is a 1.5GHz MediaTek MT6752m octa-core processor paired with Mali-T760MP2 GPU and 2GB of RAM. On the storage front, it offers 8GB internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 32GB using a microSD card.
On the camera front, the A7000 has an 8MP autofocus rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front facing camera. It has 8GB of onboard storage and can be expanded further via microSD card slot. The dual-SIM smartphone will run the latest version of Google’s Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box.
In terms of connectivity, the smartphone includes support for 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, GPS/ A-GPS, Bluetooth and microUSB. The device is powered by a 2,900mAh battery. The device weighs 140 grams and will be available in Onyx Black and Pearl White.
